In the beginning, we, as the substance of the Universe, are One with Source. Our Consciousness or Power is in unity. Upon the “big bang”, the initial burst that delivered the creation outside, we go through an explosion of our substance and loose a great deal of Consciousness or Self. This birthing process was of course necessary, since otherwise nothing would have ever happened, and we wouldn’t be here trying to figure out what on Earth we are doing!
So here we are totally fragmented with our pieces exploded all over the place, having lost the integrity of who we are. Desperately reaching in the vast pool of fear based thoughts that is all around, we quickly attempt to recompose a sense of unity. We borrow pieces to replace the lost ones, and by so doing, start an intricate web where “pseudo” Self gets woven with “real” Self.
The consequences of this phenomenon are enormous! Imaging you are yellow, all of the sudden you insert some blue dots in your yellow and you become green… and on top of that, start thinking that you “are” that green. Traumatized by the fragmentation, you then want to make sure that you remain green at all cost. So the next step is the creation of a strong entity: the ego, whose role is to make sure that you stay green no matter what! A this point, the whole “system” is in place for a long ride of confusion between who we truly are and what we think we are.
But the good news is that we do all that to actually find out, truly realize who we are. By experiencing, bumping over and over against the adversity created by the intricacy of our make-up, we start to chisel down our false sense of identity and get nudged into our true place. And the even better news is: this necessary ordeal that we have been in for the longest time can be ended. Yes! Instead of constantly kicking and screaming, resisting the force of our soul agreements that keep pushing stronger and stronger, life time after time – come one! wake up, you are here to r.e.a.l.i.z.e yourself, that’s the purpose of your life! – instead of putting a fist with our stubborn ego attachments, we can now willingly go the extra mile by applying the tools provided by the teachers. All it takes is to say yes and go for it with passion!
Self-realization is the very principle of sorting out between the weeds and the plants. What it takes is a firm decision and the strong dedication to go after the weeds systematically. One has to know that this is a process, a fascinating treasure quest that requires the patience and humility that only a “true seeker” will demonstrate. For as long as our story began, we have been lost in the maze of our confusion -deep into the dip!- unable to identify what is what. There is no illusionary quick fixes in this journey! and no turn around on the road to Oneness. One goes until one merges! Then one realizes the true grace and sheer delight of pure “beingness”, beyond any needs or conditions, free and totally present! A reality that anyone can live!
